Like many of the other tracks in this score for Ender's Game, Steve Jablonsky uses some cool chord changes to emphasize the impact of his music.  "The Battle Room" starts out relatively mild but then slowly builds up to a strong ending.   

I really enjoy Steve Jablonsky's score for Ender's Game.  He uses some powerful chord changes to accompany the emotional beats, and "Salamandar Battle" has some very satisfying build-ups of the music.
